Materials used in the new flagship EKOS SE tonearm have been carefully selected for their sound performance and low resonance properties to minimise resonance, interference and microphony, and extract even more from your cherished vinyl collection. These include:
- An arm tube which has been machined from sold titanium – an ideal choice due to the metal’s inherent dampening properties, which results in better control of arm resonances and therefore less interference of the sound from surface noise and general background noise
- A new stainless steel bearing housing which holds the horizontal bearing more stiffly for reduced movement of the arm, due to the rigidity of the stainless steel material
- A main bearing assembly, also machined from stainless steel, ensuring that expansion is identical to the actual bearing material and does not affect bearing friction or play, for consistent performance
